Hoegr celebrates the Scandinavian ancestry of our founders and combines over 20 years’ knowledge in crafting the highest quality socks. We set upon a journey to create socks that embody the Nordic concept of ‘hygge’ – embracing the good things in life and finding joy in everyday moments. Our mission is to create high-quality socks that bring warmth and comfort to your feet. Join us on our quest for a life of comfort – Hoegr, nourish the sole.
Sustainability Goals
Part of feeling the joy of the everyday life, is staying true to our values.
Our socks are built to last and created with ethically sourced, sustainable materials. We have aligned ourselves with manufacturers that put their environmental responsibilities at the forefront of their own culture.
Our goal is to produce quality socks that will ensure durability and minimize our footprint.
We are passionate and ambitious in minimizing our environmental impact and neutralising the production cycle as much as we can. We’re proud to be based in the National Forest, an area of 200 square miles across the Midlands.
The National Forest Company is a registered charity number 1166563 and is responsible for leading the creation of the National Forest, a wooded landscape for the nation across 200 square miles of Central England.
The National Forest charity is a regeneration success story, a green-print for a better way of life. In planting trees and thereby restoring a rich wildlife habitat to the area, it has provided a more sustainable and positive future for the next generation.
In these stressful, tech-heavy times, there’s scientific proof that being around woodlands reduces stress and improves wellbeing. Who wouldn’t prefer to hear birdsong to the constant ping of their phone? Best of all – everyone can benefit from it because 80% of the National Forest now has public access.
For every pair of socks sold, we’ll donate £0.10 to the National Forest, which will go towards planting more native trees, supporting woodland & biodiversity management, education & community projects.
